Temptation by KM Golland ~Randi's Review~ *****

~~RANDI's REVIEW~~~~

Any stay at home mother will tell you that they have all had those days where they just want to get out of the house and not look back for a while. Some have maybe even decided that going to work outside the house is the right move for them.

That’s exactly what happened to Alexis Summers. She’s a stay at home mother who felt as if she lost who she was before. Being a mother changes you, but being a mother isn’t all that you have to be, and Alexis has just realizes this.

Alexis loves her family. She’s a happily married mother of 2. But she realizes that there is more to her than she was getting to express, so she takes a job at City Towers where she meets Bryce Clark. He’s her boss and owner of City towers as well as the most handsome man she has ever laid eyes on.

The attraction is instant and Alexis is filled with guilt as she finds herself drawn more and more to the charmingly sweet Mr. Clark.

Bryce is used to getting what he wants and he makes it no secret that he wants Alexis. He knows she’s married but he’s convinced that she wants him too, and he’s willing to wait until she realizes this fact as well. ……. When I read the synopsis for this story I was intrigued but also a little leery. The idea of a story where the wife cheats on her husband was enough to make me hesitate at first.

But once I started reading it that hesitation was gone. This story is written in a way that puts your mind at ease.

Alexis doesn’t just jump into bed with another man, she is respectful of her husband and her marriage vows. She’s conflicted about her growing feelings for another man and she is determined to not act on them out of the love she feels for her family.

I believe in marriage and vows and love. I believe that none of those things should be entered into lightly. I also believe that sometimes marriages don’t work out no matter how much you might want them to.

I also believe that this author did such an amazing job showing that Alexis believes these things also, and made her relatable, and made her someone that you would like to have as a friend.

She made Bryce someone that you can easily see falling in love with, while at the same time making Alexis’s husband someone that you care for as well. Which makes this a great read because there is so much complexity to the story.

I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars, not only because it was well written and the story was entertaining, but because it was just so captivating, that after I finished it, I hunted down the second book in the series and bought it as soon as I finished the first one.
