~REVIEW~ The Beast by Jaden Wilkes

                                The Beast
                              By Jaden Wilkes

Dimitri Sokolov is a man scarred, physically and emotionally. From the rough streets of Moscow to the highest ranks in the Solntsevskaya Bratva, he has seen it all.

An attack four years ago left him disfigured and in seclusion, hiding from reactions to his appearance and in safety from those who failed to kill him the first time.

Comfortable in his penthouse, managing his billion dollar businesses, he's resigned himself to be alone, simply called The Beast among those who've dealt with him in the past.

Columbia Grey is a pseudo-activist trying to save her neighbourhood from a developer intent on levelling it to build apartment towers. She goes along with a plan to confront the CEO of the company on his own turf, to force him to listen to her demands...all in a pathetic attempt to impress a man she barely likes.

Little does she know, she's taken herself into the mouth of the beast, a man familiar with death and destruction, sex and seduction, a man used to getting exactly what he wants and a man with nothing left to lose.

She's a beauty, but will that be enough to tame the beast and save her life?

**This can be read as a standalone, but is Book One in the Beast Series. There is a follow up novella called
Perfectly Normal, and book two is Little Dove.

*** This is not a fairy tale, this is what happens when the music ends and life goes on after the credits roll. This is about simply existing until you find yourself and write your own happily ever after, no matter what form it takes

                                                               ~Veda's Review~

“Here’s to two imperfect things finding each other in the dark”

“They were twisted and dark and scarred and damaged…but they were perfectly normal and perfect for each other.”

Wow, this book totally had me from the cover! Truly it did! What’s inside is even better! Twisted, dark and scarred is a perfect description for Dimitri and Columbia. Both have had horrible things happen to them in the past and they both have learned to cope with it. One turned to killing and the other turned to mutilation of their own body.
When Columbia, a wannabe activist, breaks into Dimitri’s penthouse she didn’t expect the welcome she got. Now trapped, blindfolded and sexually tortured by this man, she tries not to give in to her dark and twisted desires. But it’s hard, she’s falling for him. Being a cutter and finding an alternative release…heaven! She knows deep down is wrong to want this from a man who tried to kill her, but deep down she’s just a dark and twisted as he.
Dimitri is now in the same boat, he’s falling for her. Never having cared about someone on this level before is scary for him but, just like he is for her, she is his new found release. She gets to him like no one ever has before and once they get on the same page, it gets even better… This book is crazy dark, but oh so HOT! I love dark reads and don’t understand how this book has received anything less than 5 stars!! If it was because it was too dark for the reader… I’ve read a lot darker and I’m also pretty sure that the author gives a warning in the description of the book on amazon. I would recommend this book to 18+ readers who like dark erotica and I’m definitely going to share with all my friends! It’s THAT good!! I cannot wait for the next book!!! I am now a Jaden Wilkes book addict! I can't get enough
