At nineteen, Kalli Perkins has never been in love and doesn't ever intend to be. She has her issues handled. She's managed to keep the secret of what happened to her nine years ago from her mother, although her mother's usually high anyway and barely notices Kalli or her little brothers.
One night at a party, Kalli makes a bet with her friend, Nate, that could change everything. But she didn't count on him. Nate's very capable of satisfying her, not only under her clothes, but in her heart, too.
She just doesn't know it yet.

This was one of the strongest and one of the most beautiful
books I’ve read. I was instantly drawn into this book, it is definitely worth
reading and you want wont to put it down. I loved the story line and how much
of an impact it can make on the reader.
Kalli is such a wonderful girl. She has such a huge heart
and is one of the strongest people I have ever had the pleasure of reading
about. She has such a broken past that keeps her from being the wonderful girl
that is deep within her. My heart broke over and over when she would think
about all the things that happened to her or when she’s slip into her memories
that she wanted desperately to forget. I adored how much she loved her family.
She kept pushing her mother to do better because she wanted her to be there for
her brothers. She took such great care of her brothers. She would give up
anything to care for those around her that she loved so much.
Kalli had the most wonderful friends that anyone could ask
for. Scout and Nate were always there for her and protected her and never let
her down. I loved there connection and how strong that all of their friendships
were.
Nate was without a doubt the most wonderful guy, ever. He
was so great to Kalli. He was her best friend and looked out for her. Always
there when she needed him. He was
strong, caring, and compassionate and could break Kalli’s defenses that she
wanted so badly to keep up. I loved that he kept pushing and didn’t want her to
give up on them because he knew they belonged together. I loved that even
though they had been friends for so long that he held his ground and took the
plunge. I loved watching their relationship unfold; it was really beautiful and
real. They both had to work hard to keep the relationship strong. Trust is a
hard thing to keep and give, but they never once gave up that they could
believe in one another. I loved Nate.
This story had all kinds of drama going on, but drama that
made you stop and think. All you wanted was for all the characters to make it
through all the rollercoasters that life was throwing their way and come out
stronger than they were before! I highly recommend this amazing story to anyone
who wants to read a book that will touch you and speak to you.
