Lexi has always had a reputation for accidentally messing things up, but she never thought she’d be jobless and homeless at twenty-six. With no other choice, she returns to her hometown to do a little life searching.
Lexi quickly discovers a lot has changed in the eight years since she first left Fairville, a quirky little town in the middle of nowhere. Most of her best friends from high school are now married and have children, and her parents have sold their home and are now living in a loft above their store. One thing still remains the same, though. Anders, her old high school crush is still as hot as ever.
Determined to get her life back on track, Lexi starts searching for an apartment and a job. But during a crazy night at one of her friend’s bachelorette parties, she wakes up in Las Vegas, hungover and married to Evan, Anders' brother, a guy she barely knows. So much for getting her life back on track.

*****
The Diary of Lexi Ashford by Jessica Sorensen is one of the most feel good, humorous, and sweetest stories that you will read this year. I fell completely in love with the story.
The book had me smiling, laughing, and just over all feeling amazing while reading it. I haven’t read a book in a while that had me so captivated like this one did. I was hooked from the very first page until the very last page and then by that time I was so begging for more of the story.
Lexi is an amazing character. I love that she’s not perfect; she has flaws and like me she is accident prone. The things that happen to her will have you rolling and feeling so bad for her that she had to have that happen to her. But it’s what makes the story so amazing, it’s real and unique. I also loved and adored that Lexi had no filter. She said the first thing that came to mind without thinking. She wasn’t trying to be rude just honest and genuine.
You will also meet Evan, who from the start is going to steal your heart and have you just loving him. I cannot wait to see what happens with him and Lexi. The two of them are so meant to be together and I hope that’s how it goes because Evan sparks your interests so quickly. He’s a sweet, charming, and just amazing guy.
This is definitely an amazing first book to this series; Jessica Sorensen NEVER lets me down. I always seem to find a new favorite from her and this one is no different. So if you love a book that has a good up beat feel and leaves you laughing out loud and grinning like the Cheshire cat then this is the book for you.
I give The Diary of Lexi Ashford FIVE out of FIVE ENTERTAINING STARS!
