Divided Souls by Alannah Carbonneau ~Randi's FIVE STAR Review~

*****

In the third and final installment to the Captured Miracle trilogy, we find out what happened after Novas father finds her and takes her away from Calix in the dead of night.

When we last left them, Calix had given up his need for revenge, only wanting to be with Nova and start their family together.
Now Nova's father is keeping her away from him, not letting her out of his sight as he tries to break the hold Calix has over her.
As Nova tries to make her family see that she and Calix are in love, she enlists her sisters help, while she finds a way to get back to him.

Now all Nova wants is for her father to accept her choice to be with Calix so that their child may be born Into a family that is happy and stable.
But even if that isn't possible, Nova knows that it will be alright, as long as they can be together.
...

After reading the first book in this series I knew it was going to be pretty different than my "normal" read, but I can't say that I'm disappointed. This series has been amazing and I'm so glad that I got the chance to read it.
From start to finish all three of these books have been able to tug at my emotions, whether that was from happiness or anger or, many times, frustration at one of them, leaving me wishing that this series just went on and on.

Alannah Carbonneau is such a fantastic writer and I'm so glad that I found her, and I wait in anticipation for the next story from this very talented lady.

“We are two halves of the same soul – we are one. Despite the demons of our past, the simple fact of it all is that, when push comes to shove, you can’t fight fate. Fate is the mother of all things twisted and dire. She’s the bearer of pain and wrong, but in the wake of such devastations, her talent finds a way bloom something beautiful.”

To every action, there is a reaction.

To every high, there is a low, because what goes up must eventually come down.

Nova has been home for nearly two months, dying inside, as her soul struggles to continue living life without Calix – her husband, her lover, her captor. With the help of her sister, Nova finds a way to escape the rescuing clutches of her father to return to Calix.

Through all the damage done, and all the horrors stripped to stand exposed, can the wrongs enacted become right? Can the monster lurking beneath Calix’s very handsome skin remain dormant – or will that monster ruin all the beauty thriving – in a moment of fear.

When life hangs in the balance and our true nature is tested, will instinct prevail over compassion? And can forgiveness exist for a future when the past is tainted with bloodshed?

***This novel does NOT end in a cliffhanger! It is intended for audiences 18 years of age and older due to subject matter.**
