When you’re from a place like Clayton, PA, you either leave as soon as you can, or you never leave. Pregnant in Pennsylvania by Jasinda Wilder is such a charming and delightful read. It's a great read if you're a fan of romance and people having a second chance at love. This story left my heart so full and I was so happy by the last page.
Elyse is a wonderful character. She is such a devoted parent, friend, daughter, and guidance counselor at her school. I loved how compassionate she was and that she offers everyone the advice they need. Her relationship with her son is heartwarming. My heart broke for her past, it's so sad. But I was inspired by how she fought to move forward and do what was best for her child. When she meets Jamie, they instantly connect. I loved that they could talk so easy and couldn't hide how attracted to one another they were. It was an intense, beautiful connection. These two know they could be amazing together, but they have to learn to trust each other and decide if the leap of faith is worth the risk because they've both been hurt so much already. Jamie's character is just sigh, I loved him. He's so loving, so understanding, caring, and he doesn't push Elyse. He waits till she's ready to accept his love. Jamie's interactions with Elyse's son will have your heart about to burst. So if you love a good romance filled with lots of love, a sweet family feel, fun banters between friends, and a man that has your heart beating out of your chest, then you'll be hooked on this one.
