The Maiden by Celia Aaron is EPIC.
This book pulled me into it's darkness and I never wanted to escape. I was lost within the pages and by the end, I was holding my breath and begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series because the way it ended left me on the edge of my seat and then it was over, so now I have all these scenarios running wild.
Delilah is one of those characters you admire because of her courage. When you realize she went into the Cloister even though she knew how it worked, you'll be blown away. She takes every punishment, every training, all so she can discover the truth. A truth that she may not be ready for, a truth she may never know.
When Delilah locks eyes with Adam, I knew. I knew there was going to be an intense, brutal, passionate, yet deep love/hate relationship between them. I know Adam seems savage and relentless, but there is something beneath the surface that pulled me to his character. I loved him, I wanted him to overcome what his father had turned him into.
So if you enjoy reading a dark romance that takes you on a rollercoaster of different emotions, you're going to beg to be thrown into the chaos at the Cloister. It's a strong, heightened, deep story that will own your very being.
