~BLOG TOUR & REVIEW~ DANCE by Teodora Kostova

Book Description:

Jared Hartley is happy. He has a starring role in a popular West End musical, great friends, adoring fans and his own flat in Central London. A relationship is not something he has ever really wanted. Making big plans for the future is not in his nature – Jared is content with his single status and enjoying all the benefits of that lifestyle.
He doesn’t even realise something is missing in his life.
Until he meets Fenix.

Fenix Bergman has a dream – to perform on Broadway. When he gets offered the lead role in Poison – a new musical based in London, he accepts, immediately recognising the huge potential of the show.

Fenix thinks he has his life completely figured out – he will move to London, help Poison become the new West End hit and bide his time until Broadway comes knocking on his door. He has never wished for anything else but proving to himself and the world that he is a performer worthy of the biggest theatre stage.
Until he meets Jared.

Jared and Fenix’s lives collide and they fill each other’s missing pieces. Neither of them expects to feel so much, so fast for the other.

Neither of them expects to need someone so badly when love hasn’t even been in their plans.

But when Fenix’s star becomes too bright for London, will the dream he’s chased all his life ruin the dream he’s holding in his hands?

Will he survive getting everything he’s ever wanted?

Will Jared?

~VEDA'S REVIEW~

I'd like to start by saying that this was my first M/M read. Yes, I just got my M/M cherry popped and what an amazing book to have done it! I loved this book I couldn't put it down! It had me sucked in from the very first page. Not one time was there ever a lull in the story for me. I ate up every second of this book! It was so beautifully written and had two of the greatest characters I've ever had the pleasure to read about, Fenix and Jared. You read the book as the POV switches back and forth between the two.

Fenix Bergman is a beautiful young dancer who grew up with dance in his life. As a child he watched his mother, a very talented and very popular ballet dancer, preform at the iconic London Theater. He knew from the age of nine what he wanted to do in life. Dance. His biggest aspiration was someday dancing on Broadway.  After graduating from Juilliard he accepted the lead in a musical called Poison, which was to be preformed at a small London theater. Not only was he a talented dancer but also a talented singer as well. It is at the London Theater where Fenix officially meets Jared. Jared Hartley is not only the lead, but also one of the original creators Of Kids and Monsters. Fenix is excited but nervous when he finds out that he will be sharing a dressing room with Jared, due to the fact that he seen him preform and is already attracted to him. Their first time meeting is filled with nervous sexual tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. So much so that Jared, who is also attracted to Fenix, is in need of "releasing some tension" after their encounter. Deciding to go out to a club with his best friend Adam, in search of said release, he spots Fenix. There's no denying the lust filled connection this time and they don't last long on the dance floor before they can't take it any longer. They show us just how much that there is no denying it, in the bathroom of the club and then again at Jared's flat. From that night on they are inseparable and each passing day their lust quickly grows into love. A beautiful love that could withstand any obstacle thrown in its way, so deep it could last lifetimes. Or can it? About eight months into their relationship Fenix gets the offer of a lifetime, his dream come true, Poison on Broadway. What will he do? Will he leave for New York, leaving behind his love, Jared? Or will he stay and throw away all he's ever dreamed and hoped for?

I can't say enough good things about this book. Such a beautiful love story with some great twists, pain and heartbreak. The sex scenes between Fenix and Jared were so incredibly erotic and sexy, but also so beautiful and loving. I will defiantly be reading all that this author has to offer. Recommended for readers 18+ but everyone above that age, especially M/M book lovers, should definitely read this book. I give Dance an easy 5 stars

Author bio:

Hi, my name is Teodora and I live in London with my husband Ted and my son Jason. I've been writing ever since I can remember, but it became my full time job in 2010 when I decided that everything else I've tried bores me to death and I have to do what I've always wanted to do, but never had the guts to fully embrace. I've been a journalist, an editor, a personal assistant and an interior designer among another things, but as soon as the novelty of the new, exciting job wears off, I always go back to writing. Being twitchy, impatient, loud and hasty are not qualities that help a writer, because I have to sit alone, preferably still, and write for most of the day, but I absolutely love it. It's the only time that I'm truly at peace and the only thing I can do for more than ten minutes at a time - my son has a bigger attention span than me.
When I'm procrastinating, I like to go to the gym, cook Italian meals (and eat them), read, listen to rock music, watch indie movies and True Blood re-runs. Or, in the worst case scenario, get beaten at every Wii game by a six year old.

To keep from losing the woman who’s changing his world, Jagger is willing to give up anything—including his career. But even that might not be enough to regain Aerie’s shattered trust…

DAZED IN GENERAL:
Dazed is a Connections Series Novella but it not necessary to read Connected and Torn prior to reading this. Also it has a beginning, a middle, and an end :)

                                            ~REVIEW~ *****

So I never in a million years thought I’d say this, but omg if I don’t love Jagger Kennedy as much as I do River Wilde, maybe even MORE! Kim Karr has absolutely done it again and created one of the most memorable men you are ever going to read. Jagger will steal your heart as soon as you meet him and leave you wanting more from him.

I loved getting to know more about Dahlia’s friend Aerie! She is such a wonderful character. She’s full of so much love and cares about everyone around her. I adore the way she takes care and looks out for Dahlia. Those are the kinds of friends you want on your side. Aerie definitely grows in this book and it is a magical thing to experience how she finally learns to have fun and feel free again.

So I honestly have no words that could possibly give Jagger justice! This man is remarkable. He’s strong, drop dead gorgeous, and has a way of making Aerie drop all of her walls and give in to him. He’s such an amazing man. I couldn’t help but love him. You can definitely tell that he is River’s cousin. That family has some amazing genes. And I so hope that Kim will give me more Jagger, maybe even let me in his head ;)

So if you have read the connected series you are going to love this book. Dazed is as wonderful as the rest of the series and I love that each book just leaves me wanting more and more from this talented author who knows exactly what us readers want in a book.

Aerie Daniels
There’s something deliciously perverse about staring through the clear glass. All of
my senses engage as I wait in line—the fragrance that fills the air as the fire crackles
beneath the foil wrapped treats wafts under my nose, the beauty in each and every small
package as they line the shelves with tiny dots and colored sprinkles mesmerizes me, the
sound made as the silver sheet is peeled back to reveal the magnificence it holds
captivates me, and the anticipation of the taste makes my mouth water. Ummm… just
thinking of the first bite into the moist brown exterior with its bittersweet Belgian
chocolate complimenting the flavor of the Madagascar bourbon vanilla that oozes from
its inside has me trembling. The black and white cupcake—it’s simply perfection.
Amidst the skyscrapers in Los Angeles’ South Park neighborhood, Sprinkles is a
gem tucked away for those of us who seek out a small piece of heaven. I don’t come here
often, but when I do it’s for that one special treat. The menu describes it as, “Yin and
Yang.” An ancient proverb that says, “Complementary opposites, such as light and dark,
day and night, and masculine and feminine, seemingly may exist as contrary forces, but
are actually interconnected.” Simply put, it says one gives rise to the other and it’s true—
opposites attract. Without the vanilla inside, one could not possibly crave the chocolate
outside—looking at the two parts united has me drooling.
“You know what they say about staring through the glass,” a deep husky voice says
from behind me.
His words tingle my skin and my gaze snaps up. “Excuse me?” I stop short, in a
daze, not even sure what he just said I was so lost in my thoughts.
He chuckles. “You know what they say about staring through the glass,” he repeats.
My eyes blink and come into focus on the upward tilt of his full lips. Then my eyes
move to his smooth pale skin flecked with a light stubble, his nose seemingly sculpted
even with a slight imperfection in its slope, large eyes with the most unusual gray color
swirling from within, and chocolate brown colored hair framing his face in pieces—I’m
not sure if he has just rolled out of bed or if product molds it just so. Either way, he is
utterly beautiful.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Just be careful so you don’t fall in like Alice.” He smiles, displaying his bright
white teeth.
“Again, I’m sorry but I have no idea what you’re talking about.” I notice his eyes
sweep over me and my heart starts pounding.
“Through the Looking Glass,” he responds in a dangerously husky voice.
This time when he speaks I catch an accent, ever so slight but extremely sexy.
It reminds me of how Robert De Nero talks, just not as loud or fast. I continue to stare,
unable to respond. I notice that his physique is long and lean. He’s dressed in worn jeans
that fit him perfectly. His orange laced hiking boots scream I don’t conform. A pair of
tortoiseshell sunglasses hang from the V of his gray sweater, which clings to his body
perfectly. And an outdoor vest tops the outfit. It throws me off. It makes him look more
like an Abercrombie model than a James Dean type. It’s a navy blue down and quilted
one with a silver zipper. I don’t know why, but something about his outfit, about this
man, captivates me.
“Number 98,” calls the girl from behind the counter.
He steps closer. His warm breath whispers across my neck. “Through the Looking
Glass is the sequel to Alice in Wonderland. When Alice gets too close to the glass, she
falls in and starts on a crazy journey,” he tells me as his arm waves in the air with a green
ticket on display. Stepping closer, his gaze cuts from mine to the glass case as he hands
his number to the clerk whose wearing a cute brown apron with the word Sprinkles
scripted across it.
“Can I have a dozen of the black and white cupcakes?” he asks.
Suddenly alarmed, my eyes dart to the case as I watch the single remaining row of
beautifully crafted cupcakes diminish until there are none left. My irritation flares as I
glance at my number—97.
The beautiful stranger hands the clerk his credit card and waits to sign the slip.
“I was number 97, my number was before yours,” I say as he’s handed the bag that
holds his treasure.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Here let me get the sales clerk’s attention so you don’t have to take
another number,” he says.
I want to stomp my feet. I want to scream. I don’t want her attention. I don’t want
another number. I want the cupcakes that he stole from me.
“Miss,” he calls draping his perfectly fit body over the case. She looks his way and
with a charming grin he says, “Can you help this lovely lady? She missed her number
being called.”
“Of course, I’m so sorry. How can I help you?” the girl asks averting her eyes from
the man who looks like he should be on the cover of GQ magazine, over to me.
He smiles at me with a face that belongs on a billboard. “Don’t fall in.”
I swear he’s goading me. But then he tips his chin and a sexy, smoldering grin passes
over his lips and I’m not so sure anymore. He turns to look at me one more time before
he exits, and excitement flushes over my face. I nod a slight cursory acknowledgement,
then he disappears and disappointment washes over me—he’s gone. Crap. The cupcakes
are also gone. Double crap. And now I’m left wondering if he saw me staring at that
flavor? Did he distract me on purpose so he could purchase them first? Urrr…I’m so
angry right now I consider walking out, but when the clerk asks me what I’d like I settle
for the Vanilla Milk Chocolate cakes—they are the mirror reflection of the black and
whites, with vanilla cake and chocolate frosting, but they are not nearly as good.

~BLOG TOUR & GIVEAWAY~ Damned If You Don't by Linda J. Parisi

Andrew Jackson “Jack” Kent’s on the hunt for white collar criminals, and as a private investigator he always gets his man. Except in this case it’s a woman, the brilliant cellular kineticist Dr. Morgan Mackenzie, whose next thrilling discovery is—him.

On the run from her employers with the formula for a priceless but deadly diet drug, Morgan agrees to a night of pleasure with the outrageously sexy stranger. But when she leaves the next morning, Jack won’t let her get far, and that’s when she realizes the horrible truth. Her cowboy on a white horse isn’t a hero after all. He’s part of the posse.

Yet when Jack goes to turn Morgan in, he learns who the real criminals are, and suddenly, it’s a race against time to find a murderer before they’re killed themselves. To do that Jack needs to convince Morgan he’s on her side. Even though she doesn’t trust him, Jack is a drug she can’t resist, leading her to find out that more often than not you're Damned If You Don't fall in love.

Morgan stopped in the middle of the staircase.  Don’t turn.  Don’t turn.

The picture of dimples and a smile to die for simply wouldn’t let her go.  Were they worth her principles?  Hadn’t she put him into enough danger as it was already?  Her stomach knotted with the truth.  She wanted him.  She wanted everything he was offering.   She had no right to take it.   Because if one hint of her problems touched him, he could end up an accessory.

Her hand gripped the railing.  One enchanted evening.  He doesn’t even know your real name.
One fairy tale night.  Even if they track you back to him, he could say he’d been duped.
Think.  Think.  Make sure.  Her grip tightened, knuckles turning white with the strain.  Trembling fingers of her other hand rubbed at her temple.  There are always consequences and this is his life, not only yours.

Eventually, the people who were after her would pick up her trail.  The proprietor would remember her and probably be able to identify Morgan even though she’d changed her appearance.  No one would ever know she and Jack had any other contact than being guests at her establishment at the same time.  And if they did, he could simply tell the truth—she’d lied to him.

The front door opened.  Morgan ran up the rest of the steps, slipping into her room as quietly as possible. With her cheek pressed against the door, she could hear Jack climb the steps, his tread slow, deliberate, and she hoped disappointed. A picture came to her, his face full of indecision as he raised his hand to knock on her door.

Her heart broke as she imagined that same hand falling to his side.

The floor creaked in the hallway.  He’d turned.  Headed towards his room.  Without thought, Morgan cracked open her door.  Her jaw dropped as he stepped into the room next to hers.
Fate or design?

She didn’t care.  Her gaze shot to the right and spied an adjoining door.  Fate or design?  It didn’t matter. Not when the possibility loomed so large it blinded her with its promise.
Promethium tantalum.

Her heart began to pound.  She couldn’t catch her breath.  Her throat turned dry as dust as another reality slammed into her psyche.  God, it had been so long.  All sane thought flew from her mind.  Except one.  Mouthwash.  And a dab of cologne.

Don’t question.  Don’t look in the mirror.

Not even lipstick?

Well–.

Hesitant steps brought her to the adjoining door.  As quietly as possible, Morgan unlocked and opened her side.  She stared at the wood from his side.  Now for the moment of truth.
She pushed.  The door swung open.

Happy Release Day~ Hades Mistress by ELR Jones

Teasers:

Scarlett Rose Grace (Rouge):

Scarlett has had the same dream, during the same month for 7 years.  The year of her 30th birthday the dream became a nightmare.  What do you do when your dream becomes reality?  What if your dream guy was the god, Hades, Lord of the Underworld?  Nothing good could come of this.  Or could it?
Hades, Greek god:

Hades aka Aides aka Lord of the Underworld.  These were just a few of the names that he was known to go by.  Names he hadn’t minded having until her.  The year he found (actually his minions did) his Rouge that changed.  He changed.  Will he be willing to be the man that she wants?   The clock is ticking for him.  He needs to convince her to choose to stay with him.  If he can’t, the thing he always wanted will be lost forever.

Synopsis/blurb:
Scarlett Rose (Rouge to Hades and she hated him for it) has had the same horrible nightmare for most of her adult years.  If she had to be exact about it, then it had been seven years.  Seven long years with the same recurring dream where she is pulled into Hell and bedded by the legendary Lord of the Underworld himself, Hades. She remains one night in her time, but months in his.  She is returned one night, the night of her 30th birthday, and finds that she is pregnant. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that all of those dreams were, in fact, reality.  She has to beat the clock that only she can hear.
Hades reasoning for calling his bearer to him is not only to have a child with her but he desires a companion. No one knows, or can find out, that he looks forward to that time of year when he has the ability to spend time with HIS Rouge. Now that he knows that she is carrying his child, he wants to do everything possible to get her to agree to be at his side, for all eternity. The god is willing to do anything at all, even if it means disguising himself as another to win her heart. In the process of trying to win her, he finds himself enjoying the character he is playing for her.  The clock is ticking and he has a decision to make.  Will he be able to beat the clock?  Or will he have to watch the woman he's come to love and the child he desires most from his lonely, evil perch?

Excerpt from the book:

If what he said was him being truthful, telling her the honest truth, then there were such things as gods and goddesses.  If what he told her was actual fact, then her dreams were real.  If he was finally explaining the exact meaning behind some of his more cryptic statements of, “I’m not exactly the man that you think I am” or “Reality can sometimes be a fluid word, depending on the viewer”, then Scarlett thought she wanted his balls on a platter.  If what he had been telling her was truth, then she had been dealing with Hades and not her dream guy, Aides.  She’d been sleeping with Hades.  She was pregnant with Hades’, the Lord and ruler of the Underworld’s, child.   It just couldn’t be her reality.  No, she was going to be sick.

Excerpt 3:

ROSALYN
Once home, it was straight to the family room stereo to listen to The Stones and crack a beer while dancing to Exile On Main Street. I had to shove aside stacks of albums that I had taken out of the oversized, shutter-door closet the night before for reorganizing. With the signed album propped on the sofa, as if it were an audience, I shed my alter ego by ripping off my tailored suit coat. The liberation of no longer feeling dressed for a corporate costume party brought me back to life. The flick of my neck with each shoulder roll sent my deep-auburn, iron-pressed locks flying. My hips ground while I stared at the record. I kicked my stilettos across the room (nearly landing them in the stone fireplace) before shimmying out of my skirt. My butt plopped onto the sofa with me wearing nothing but my blouse and panties. The man on the album with the engaging eyes pulled my attention to him. “Who are you?”
From my cell phone I typed Deep Trance into Wikipedia before taking a swig of beer. As the details appeared the malty liquid was nearly sprayed out of my mouth before being choked back. Clearly Rob, the shop's owner, had no clue as to the value of the album. Easily it was worth six hundred, not the six I thought I foolishly paid.
Deep Trance was the third album by the legendary band Love Machine and marked a departure from their usual pop sound. The album lacked label support causing some to believe it was intended to fail in order to offset the financial gains of other bands. The original cover was to depict the band behind an opaque veil of psychedelic swirls, but management rejected it, claiming that the photo made the band unrecognizable. A test run of the rejected cover produced a handful of copies that were likely destroyed.
Love Machine! “Holy St. Elvis!” The infamous, chart topping, UK band that barely caught a break in America? That had to mean—
I grabbed the album while still a little dizzy from my revelation. “This is signed by Peter Lane!” In a grand master flash I was standing on the sofa, bouncing and squealing at the top of my lungs, “Oh, my God, Peter Lane! Peter freaking Lane!” It was a proud fangirl moment—the flipping out over the scribbling of a dead legend that sat in my hands. My only embarrassment was over how I ever missed who the guy was. Thankfully Rob missed it too. With a jump I flipped my legs out from under me and landed my butt on the sofa. “Well, Peter Lane, I certainly never expected to meet you, such as it is.”
My deep-brown eyes were more drawn into the image than ever. Peter's impish gaze seemed so deep and powerful. His eyes were now a solid black, and my mind started slipping into their void while a haze clouded my peripheral vision.
The sudden screech blaring from my phone brought my hand to my heart and snapped me back into the present. One Direction blasted through the air, clashing with The Stones. Darla was calling. Sometimes my friends' taste in music scares me.
“Hey,” I answered. My voice sounded oddly detached.
“Drinks! Twenty minutes! Mulligan's! Meet us there!” came screaming into my ear.
“What happened to being too tired?”
“Don't know. Don't care. I just got a burst of energy. Must mean we are not meant to be at home tonight. Get on it!”
